How much does a new boiler cost in Edinburgh?
Combi boilers start from £1,700 + VAT for a Glow-worm MicraCom in smaller properties. Your fixed-price quote depends on the boiler you choose and the work your home needs.
How long does installation take?
A like-for-like combi swap is usually completed in a day. Moving the boiler or converting from a system or back boiler can take longer — your engineer will confirm the timescale in your quote.
What warranty do I get?
Between 5 and 10 years from the manufacturer, depending on the boiler you choose.
Which size boiler do I need?
It depends on the size of your home, the number of bathrooms and your hot water use. A Gas Safe engineer will recommend the right size before you commit.
Can you service my boiler after installation?
Yes. We’ll remind you when your annual boiler service is due — regular servicing keeps your manufacturer’s warranty valid.
Can I still get a new gas boiler in Scotland?
Yes. You can currently replace a gas boiler in an existing home in Scotland. The Scottish Government plans to move homes away from gas and oil heating by 2045 and has published draft Heat in Buildings legislation, but it doesn’t stop you fitting a new, efficient gas boiler today. Our engineers can talk you through your options when they quote.
